Pat Benatar dedicated “Heartbreaker” to her late friend Dolly Parton at the Sept. 26 One805LIVE! event. The pair reworked the song as a duet for Parton’s 2023 album “Rockstar”; Parton died at 80 on Aug. 25 after a brief battle with cancer, her representatives said.
Benatar performed on the event’s second night at Kevin Costner’s oceanfront estate; the gathering supports Santa Barbara County’s first responders. She introduced the song as the pair’s last project together and noted it first appeared on her 1979 album “In the Heat of the Night.”
