Palo Alto Networks launched Unit 42 Continuous Frontier AI Defense, an annual service using Anthropic’s Claude Mythos, OpenAI’s GPT-5.6-Cyber and open-weight models to find, validate and remediate vulnerabilities in web apps, APIs and cloud infrastructure.
Reuters said the service is intended to address attackers’ growing use of AI. Palo Alto said AI can compress breach cycles from weeks to hours in some cases; subscription pricing depends on the models customers choose.
The launch adds to Palo Alto’s AI-security expansion: it completed its Koi acquisition in April to secure agentic AI endpoints and acquired Console in September to add agentic capabilities to Cortex. For fiscal 2026, the company reported $9.1 billion in next-generation security ARR, up 63% year over year, and $21.2 billion in remaining performance obligations, up 34%.
