Mother Jones reported attendees’ accounts of hours of promotion for a $97 three-day “impact class” on real estate and stock trading, followed by pitches for coaching or mentorship costing $10,000–$50,000. Torre also reported that Life Surge referred some attendees to outside brokers for financing and encouraged some to use retirement savings. The company said professional athletes are a small share of its lineup, speakers were not asked to endorse its programs, and Tebow’s pay was unrelated to sales.
The report said Tebow was scheduled for more than 20 Life Surge appearances in 2026, with a reported fee of $50,000–$100,000 each. It cited a 2023 event recording in which Tebow can be heard urging attendees to sign up for programs. Tebow and his representatives did not answer multiple requests for comment; ESPN declined to comment.
