Galil Importing recalled Lior Cinnamon Ground Seasoning after Maryland testing found elevated lead in a sample. The 90-gram containers, lot GAP11304 (UPC 794711005484), should not be used; consumers can discard them or return them for a refund. No illnesses have been reported.
The clear plastic containers were distributed to retailers in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, Florida and Illinois from Nov. 18, 2025, through Sept. 7, 2026. The lot code is on the container’s side, below the ingredient line.
Galil Importing has begun a supplier investigation and added testing and supplier-verification measures. The FDA says children exposed to enough lead over weeks to months may sustain permanent central nervous system damage; effects depend on exposure amount and duration, age and body weight.
