Oregon QB Dante Moore was taken from Saturday’s game against USC on a stretcher in a neck brace after a second-quarter hit by linebacker Desman Stephens during a slide. Stephens was ejected for targeting; coach Dan Lanning told NBC Moore had movement in his extremities.
The hit sparked a prolonged on-field exchange involving players from both teams, and each team received an unsportsmanlike-conduct penalty. Play was delayed about 15 minutes while Moore was treated and taken to an ambulance.
Dylan Raiola replaced Moore and threw a touchdown pass to Evan Stewart on his second snap, putting Oregon ahead 10-7.
