Missouri rallied from an early 14-point deficit to lead Mississippi State 24-17, but the Bulldogs scored the final 14 points for a 31-24 win Saturday night in Starkville. The loss was Mizzou’s first of the season.
Missouri reached the red zone in the final two minutes, but consecutive incompletions ended its drive on downs. Cayden Lee had 11 catches for 156 yards and two touchdowns; Daeden Hopkins recorded 3.5 sacks, and the Tigers held Mississippi State to a field goal across the middle two quarters.
Mizzou returns to Columbia next Saturday for Homecoming against Florida. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
