USC lost 41-27 to Oregon on Saturday, its fifth straight defeat to the Ducks. Linebacker Desman Stephens was ejected after hitting quarterback Dante Moore in the helmet. Moore was taken by ambulance to a hospital, and Oregon gained 505 yards.
Backup Raiola replaced Moore early in the second quarter and threw for 289 yards and two touchdowns. Oregon scored on six of its final seven drives, almost all with Raiola at quarterback.
USC tied the game 27-27 with less than 13 minutes left, but a penalty on defensive tackle Jide Abasiri on third-and-long extended Oregon’s next possession. The Ducks scored five plays later; USC then failed on fourth down.
