Harmony McKee chose Riley Green over Adam Levine as her coach on “The Voice” after singing Miranda Lambert’s “Gunpowder & Lead,” her first country performance. Both coaches turned for her, and Green called winning McKee a sweet victory over Levine.
Levine called McKee “one of the stronger singers” the coaches had heard and said he loves country music. Green said her love of rock and blues could blend with country, pointing to Chris Stapleton as an example.
Green and Levine described their on-show back-and-forth as playful: Green said they give each other a hard time, and Levine joked that he likes having someone in a cowboy hat do it. In a pre-premiere interview, Levine said the coaches clicked quickly and had chemistry this season.
