No. 13 Penn State (3-0) hosts Wisconsin (2-1) at Beaver Stadium at 5 p.m. in its Big Ten opener, with the game on Peacock. Receiver Koby Howard will miss an extended period with an injury, while Wisconsin running back Abu Sama III is expected back Saturday.
Howard had 12 catches for 344 yards and three touchdowns in Penn State’s first three games. Quarterback Rocco Becht has completed just over 70% of his passes for nine touchdowns without an interception. Wisconsin quarterback Colton Joseph has completed 63.5% for five touchdowns and two interceptions; receiver Tyrell Henry had 14 catches for 160 yards and a score last week.
The preview predicts a 28-13 Penn State win, but says both teams are difficult to assess: Penn State has yet to be tested, while Wisconsin had a slow start against Eastern Michigan and stayed with Notre Dame into the third quarter.
