Nicole Taylor was arrested Sept. 22 and charged with first-degree murder, arson and firearm offenses in the deaths of her husband, Robert Taylor III, and daughter, Cynthia Taylor. Authorities say both died before an intentionally set fire at their West Virginia home.
Authorities responded to a fire at the Harpers Ferry home on Sept. 30, 2025. The State Fire Marshal's Office determined Robert had been shot multiple times; Cynthia's cause of death has not been made public. The charges also include use or presentation of a firearm during a felony.
Taylor was taken to a local hospital with burn injuries after the fire and is being held at a local jail without bond. Reports said it was unclear whether she had entered a plea or retained an attorney.
