Nebraska (11-0) opens Big Ten play against Rutgers (9-3) Friday at 7 p.m. CST at the Bob Devaney Center. Sophomore Teraya Sigler left Wednesday’s match against Missouri after slipping in the second set and later wore a boot; no diagnosis was reported.
Sigler did not return to play and was on the bench in street clothes midway through the third set. The preview says junior outside hitter Skyler Pierce appears to be filling in, but does not say whether Sigler will be available Friday.
Rutgers enters at 9-3 after nonconference play, including a 4-0 home record, and was picked 17th among the Big Ten’s 18 teams. Mira McCool leads the Scarlet Knights with 125 kills, while Imani Howell leads them with 55 blocks. The match will air on Nebraska Public Media and stream on B1G+.
