Nearly seven-foot python found in Mumbai car hood released after health check

A nearly seven-foot python found under the hood of a parked car at a housing complex in Dahisar West, Mumbai, was removed by a wildlife rescuer and released at nearby Sanjay Gandhi National Park after officials examined it and found it healthy. No residents were injured.

A resident spotted the snake at Maheshwar Building in Kandarpada, and residents called rescuer Sameer Gupta. He worked the python loose from among the car’s internal components and placed it in a bag.
