Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said trust will be AI agents’ biggest challenge. For consumers, he said, key questions include whether agents can be trusted with credentials and whether users can control and audit their autonomous actions; enterprises need governance and security.
Nadella called Agent 365 “probably the most important” product and said it was seeing the fastest adoption in the enterprise. He said it enables organizations to observe and govern agents, set policies, and manage security and FinOps.
Nadella said AI services have marginal token costs once subsidies end, and argued that their business models must ultimately reflect the returns users get, whether in consumer or enterprise settings.
