Anthropic and Akamai have struck a $12 billion computing deal that will give Anthropic access to CPUs; Akamai says it is the largest deal in its history. The agreement builds on a $1.8 billion computing deal made earlier this year.
The deal includes a warrant giving Anthropic the right to buy Akamai Series B shares for $113.33 each. The shares would convert into 7.7 million shares of common stock.
The hosts cited Bloomberg data showing Akamai had just over $4 billion in sales in 2025, with cloud infrastructure services accounting for 7%. They described the deal as part of Akamai’s growing shift toward AI infrastructure.
