Steelers receiver Michael Pittman Jr. is expected to play Sunday against the unbeaten Bengals after missing Week 2 with a foot injury, Adam Schefter reported. Pittsburgh listed him as questionable after he practiced on a limited basis all week.
Ian Rapoport said Pittman had a flare-up of plantar fasciitis in his foot arch, separate from the injury that slowed him in training camp and preseason. The Steelers’ inactive list is expected about 90 minutes before kickoff and will make his status official.
Pittman caught all three targets for 58 yards in his Steelers debut, a Week 1 win over Atlanta. Without him, Pittsburgh scored three points in a 20-3 Week 2 loss at New England; its only touchdown drive across the first two games covered 31 yards. The Steelers also rank last in the NFL in offensive expected points added per play.
