Charlotte placed guard Ryan Nembhard on waivers after trading Buddy Hield to Chicago for Rob Dillingham. Nembhard, an undrafted guard acquired in the Hornets’ earlier Hield deal with Atlanta, could be claimed by another NBA team.
Atlanta sent Hield, Nembhard and cash to Charlotte for Dorian Finney-Smith. Chicago later acquired Hield and cash for Dillingham, the No. 8 pick in the 2024 NBA draft, who was 21 at the time.
