Other advertised functions include monitoring subscriptions, checking for duplicate charges, searching for unclaimed property and comparing prices. Meta says passwords and payment methods are stored securely, including from the agent, and that it logs actions and requires approval for certain tasks.
Eva Velasquez, CEO of the Identity Theft Resource Center, told Yahoo Finance that the technology is too new and its data-sharing implications are unknown; she said the center does not recommend it. Users who do not want to link accounts can instead upload statements with information they want private removed, though that requires more manual work.
