Bitcoin rose 40% over the past three months, Ethereum more than 65% and altcoins more than 44%, Yahoo Finance Executive Editor Brian Sozzi said, while total crypto market value climbed over 30%. The gains continued despite Congress voting down the Clarity Act.
Sozzi said gold and silver showed little movement, while copper rose by double digits, partly because of the AI boom. He also cited gains of 8% for the Russell 2000 and about 3% for the S&P 500, while expressing concern about moves in some small-cap stocks.
Sozzi said he saw the crypto gains as positive for Robinhood if it can get its crypto business working again. He also described the company as becoming a bigger financial-services player and urged viewers to watch it ahead of its summit the following week.
