A video shared by @melfalcai shows Golden Retriever Mel sniffing a crab on wet sand; when it raises its claws and moves toward her face, she jumps into the air and scrambles away. The clip has drawn more than 12.7 million views and over 1.9 million likes.
Mel’s owner was following with a phone camera and warned her in Portuguese to be careful. Mel later returned to her, but stayed well away from the crab’s spot.
