Galil Importing is recalling Lior Cinnamon Ground Seasoning, lot GAP11304, after a Maryland Department of Health sample found elevated lead; no illnesses have been reported. The 90-gram containers were distributed in six states from Nov. 18, 2025, through Sept. 7, 2026.
The affected transparent containers have UPC 794711005484, and the lot code appears on the side below the ingredient line. Distribution included Texas, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida and Illinois; the FDA notice does not identify specific stores or cities.
The company advises consumers not to use the cinnamon and to discard it or return it to the place of purchase for a refund. It says it began a voluntary recall, asked retailers to stop sales and distribution and hold remaining stock, and started a supplier investigation with enhanced testing and supplier verification.
