On the Sept. 24 episode of Not Gonna Lie, Kylie Kelce invited Catherine, Princess of Wales, to join her podcast, citing their shared interests in sports and parenting. The pitch followed Kate’s Sept. 17 visit to Scotland, where she tried shinty.
Kelce clarified that Kate was playing shinty, a traditional Scottish stick-and-ball sport, not field hockey. Kate has played field hockey at Marlborough College and the University of St Andrews; Kelce played four years at Cabrini University and earned All-CSAC honors.
Kelce also noted a prior connection: Prince William appeared with Jason and Travis Kelce on their New Heights podcast on July 3. They discussed England’s World Cup campaign, William’s support for Aston Villa, the NFL’s growth in Britain and sports’ ability to bring people together.
