Kyle Juszczyk appeals $14,926 fine over NFL's beer-chugging interpretation

49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk has appealed a $14,926 NFL fine over a touchdown celebration the league said imitated chugging beer. Juszczyk says he does not drink beer; the gesture mimics drinking from a juice carton, a celebration he has used for years.

The celebration followed his third-quarter receiving touchdown in San Francisco's Week 2 win over Miami, which put the 49ers ahead 28-6. In its letter, the NFL said the imitation was an “offensive demonstration” that could reasonably be construed as being in poor taste.
