Kraft Heinz rolls out three new Philadelphia flavors in faster product push

Insider Monkey

Kraft Heinz launched three Philadelphia cream cheese flavors—Walmart-exclusive Mike’s Hot Honey, salted caramel and seasonal cranberry orange—and plans about 10 varieties over two years. The push aims to turn initial trial into repeat purchases.

Philadelphia has roughly 62% of the U.S. cream cheese market. Kraft Heinz increased spending on the brand 63% this year and quadrupled investment in new flavors; the push is part of a company-wide $700 million reinvestment plan after management paused an earlier breakup. The company also wants to extend use beyond bagels to dips and pasta sauces.

Kraft Heinz still expects 2026 organic sales to decline 0.5%–2%, and volume growth remains elusive in North America. The article says the test is whether the flavors generate repeat purchases and incremental category volume, rather than shift sales among existing products; it also reports the extra investment played a part in a weaker constant-currency adjusted operating-profit outlook. Brands holding or gaining share rose to 35% of the portfolio from 21% at the end of 2025.
