Klein High football coach Nicholas Alan Codutti was arrested Saturday on charges of indecency with a child and sexual performance by a child; Klein ISD fired him. Police records allege he had a seven-year sexual relationship with a Tomball student who was 16 when it began.
Codutti was put on administrative leave and kept away from students in May 2026, after the sheriff’s office confirmed it was investigating allegations dating to 2018. Klein High principal Shannon Strole said the district had no information about the alleged conduct at hiring or afterward; Klein ISD said Codutti had passed all necessary background checks before being hired.
Codutti was an offensive coordinator and strength-and-conditioning coach at Tomball from 2015 to 2021, where the article says the alleged abuse took place. He joined Klein in 2025 after four years as Fulshear High’s head football coach and was named Klein’s athletic director in February 2025.
