Former Trump press secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Sean Hannity’s podcast that Trump may listen to women more than men and has “such respect” for them. She cited his appointments of women to senior posts and said he appreciated her criticism of journalists.
Leavitt said she was “sort of emulating” Trump’s language. She cited his appointments during both terms, including Susie Wiles as White House chief of staff, Kellyanne Conway as senior counsel and Sarah Huckabee Sanders as press secretary. Critics pointed to Trump’s attacks on female journalists and his 2005 Access Hollywood tape, in which he made lewd comments about women.
