TMZ reported Kaia Gerber was photographed returning to her Hollywood Hills home with a friend Friday, less than a week after her brother Presley, 27, died Sept. 20. She has not publicly commented; a family representative previously asked for privacy.
Santa Monica police said officers responded to the rehabilitation facility at about 9:35 a.m. on Sept. 20 after a call concerning a possible overdose. Presley was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at 9:45 a.m. Police said they are investigating a suspected overdose and do not suspect foul play. A deputy medical examiner completed an examination but deferred the cause and manner pending further studies; such cases can take several months to resolve.
A death certificate obtained by TMZ says Presley was cremated at Rose Family Funeral Home and his ashes will be kept at his parents’ Malibu home. Four days before his death, Kaia told PEOPLE that Presley sent her photos of advertisements for her FX series The Shards; she said the gesture meant a lot to her.
