Jurors in Caleb Flynn’s Ohio murder trial heard two AI-generated love songs Thursday. Prosecutors say the songs illustrate his relationship with Alleigha Botner and support their theory that the affair provided a motive in his wife Ashley’s death. Flynn has pleaded not guilty.
Botner, a former church intern, testified that she and Flynn had an affair lasting about 1½ years and that the songs referred to secret meetings and important moments in their relationship. Flynn wrote the lyrics, while AI generated the music and voice.
Prosecutors allege Flynn shot Ashley in February and staged the scene to look like a home invasion. He is charged with aggravated murder, three counts of murder, two counts of felonious assault and three counts of tampering with evidence. The defense says his wish to end the marriage did not mean he wanted Ashley killed; jurors are also reviewing more than 100,000 messages allegedly exchanged by Flynn and Botner.
