On ESPN’s College GameDay Saturday, Johnny Knoxville joked while making a pick in the Mississippi State-Missouri game that he would listen to Pat McAfee’s new album on repeat until Halloween if Missouri lost. Knoxville added “no offense”; McAfee replied, “Offense taken.”
McAfee’s debut album, The Diary of a Polarizing Figure, was released Aug. 14 and has 14 tracks blending country, rock and hip-hop. He said the material grew from about 20 years of writing lyrics and melodies in his phone’s notes to help him process life.
