Jeremy Culhane reprised his Tucker Carlson impression in the first “Weekend Update” of “Saturday Night Live” Season 52, spoofing summer releases including “The Odyssey,” “Spider-Man” and “Obsession” with jokes about gender-neutral language, romance and politics.
In one bit, Culhane called the Spider-Man movie “Spider-Man: Brand New Gender” and riffed on it with a mock “Spider-They, Spider-Them” theme; Colin Jost said that was not the film’s title. The Carlson character also described “Obsession” as a horror story about a woman forced to love a man.
The character compared “Minions and Monsters” to Donald Trump’s cabinet and made a raunchy joke about “Toy Story 5.” Culhane debuted the impression in Season 51; this was its third appearance.
