Iowa beat Michigan 20-19 on Saturday with a 16-yard touchdown pass with two seconds left, capping a 91-yard drive in 1:37. After a 29-yard completion, an injury to Michigan lineman John Henry Daley stopped the clock and left Iowa one final play; Michigan had led 19-14.
Michigan left points on the field: Bryce Underwood was stopped on a fourth-and-1 and threw a red-zone interception, while the Wolverines missed a two-point conversion after taking a 19-14 lead. They then failed to gain a first down after Iowa missed a 51-yard field goal with 2:33 remaining.
The loss followed Michigan's season-opening 13-12 win over Western Michigan, when a second was restored to the clock before Underwood's 47-yard Hail Mary. Michigan also committed eight penalties for 75 yards against Iowa, including an unnecessary-roughness call on cornerback Zeke Berry during the final drive.
