INMO recalled about 1,763 Air3 glasses sold in the US and Canada after 10 US overheating reports, including burning sensations on users’ faces and left ears. Owners should stop using them and contact INMO for a free V3.16 firmware update before using them again.
About 1,643 affected units were sold in the US and around 120 in Canada. The black glasses have “AIR3” and “INMO” printed on a label on the right temple. They were sold from December 2025 through August 2026 on Amazon, INMO’s website and Kickstarter, for about $900–$1,300.
The CPSC warns of a potential risk of serious injury or death from burns; the left temple can overheat during extended use. The free update is delivered online, and owners should not resume use until INMO confirms V3.16 is installed. Health Canada reported no incidents or injuries in Canada as of September 17, 2026.
