Henley Spiers won the £3,000 grand prize in Bird Photographer of the Year 2026 for a photo of a northern gannet diving off Scotland. Over 24,000 entries were submitted; 16-year-old Parham Pourahmad won the youth award for an owl against the full moon.
The adult competition had eight categories, with separate Conservation, Portfolio and Video awards and three youth categories. It donated more than £5,000 to partner charity Birds on the Brink, which funds grassroots bird-conservation projects worldwide.
Entries for the next cycle, BPOTY 12, are open to photographers of all experience levels.
