Eddie Hearn is considering canceling next week’s press conference for the Tyson Fury–Anthony Joshua fight, set for Cardiff on Dec. 11. He has not threatened to withdraw Joshua; Hearn says Joshua’s contract bars Dana White, but Fury says his copy does not.
Fury called Hearn and Joshua “cowards” on social media and said they would be to blame if British fans who booked trains and hotel rooms in Cardiff were let down. White also blamed Hearn’s ego while in London promoting Johnny Fisher’s fight at the Copper Box Arena.
The columnist interprets Joshua’s objection as a business-survival issue and alleges that White and his Saudi backers are trying to push Hearn out of boxing.
