He points to Ferguson’s expanded Week 2 role—routes on 71% of Matthew Stafford’s dropbacks and a 30% target share—and says Warren could take on bell-cow usage if Rico Dowdle misses Week 3; Dowdle was still in a walking boot Wednesday. Zay Flowers’ hamstring issue, with him not practicing again, supports Winks’ case for Bateman. Winks says Ferguson’s upside is greatest if Puka Nacua is out, but he remains worth holding if Nacua returns.
The five Winks ranks lower are Tyler Warren, Bucky Irving, D’Andre Swift, TreVeyon Henderson and Terry McLaurin.
