Le Rondin School pupils will take part in Music Makers, a Guernsey programme designed for children with neurodiversity, physical disabilities and communication differences. Collas Crill-sponsored sessions will run on Saturdays alongside existing music centre groups.
Guernsey Youth Commission and Guernsey Music Centre launched the initiative. Guernsey Music Service head Tim Wright said Collas Crill’s funding would cover staffing, instruments and related equipment so specialist teachers can deliver music education outside school.
Youth Commission chief executive Lou Leale said organisers hope regular participation will increase pupils’ confidence, improve engagement with peers and adults, strengthen communication and social skills, and build a sense of belonging.
