GSK agreed to acquire full global rights to Chimagen Biosciences’ experimental trispecific T-cell engager for multiple myeloma in a deal worth up to $750 million. The drug has not entered human trials; GSK expects Phase I testing to begin in 2027.
The upfront payment was not disclosed by GSK or Reuters. The rest of the potential $750 million consists of development and commercial milestone payments, so the full amount is not an immediate payment.
The therapy is designed to bind T cells and two tumor-associated antigens. GSK says it could produce deeper, more durable responses and improve tolerability compared with existing T-cell engagers, but these are potential benefits, not clinical findings.
