Greg Marzinsky’s quiet NYC TikToks spark the fan phrase “getting gregged”

Greg Marzinsky’s often-rainy New York clips, paired with Taylor Swift songs, have drawn millions of TikTok views; one reached 9.5 million. Fans call their emotional pull “getting gregged.” He says the simple scenes let viewers bring their own stories.

Marzinsky, 30, has posted streetscapes near his West Village home since 2022. His account began taking off in early 2025 after a snowy-evening clip drew more than 41,000 likes; he now has more than 640,000 TikTok followers and nearly 50,000 on Instagram.

His videos originally used several cuts timed to the music; now each lingers on one scene he encounters in daily life. Marzinsky says he has not earned money from the content so far, partly because being a faceless creator makes lucrative brand deals harder. He initially found it uncomfortable when commenters speculated the account was AI-run or a marketing campaign orchestrated by Swift’s PR team.
