Donald Johnson, 81, has delivered lost luggage for three years to help pay for wife Josephine’s cancer care. After Erin Howell saw him struggling with heavy bags, she launched a fundraiser; it had raised $87,000 of its $150,000 goal by Wednesday morning.
Howell said Johnson told her luggage delivery was the only job that would hire him. As an independent contractor, he uses his own car and has reportedly put more than 200,000 miles on it making deliveries. Howell said all donations would go toward Josephine’s medical bills so Johnson could stop working and care for her.
