New York Giants fan confidence in the team’s direction has fallen from 99% after its Week 1 win over Dallas to just over half, a survey found, following quarterback Jaxson Dart’s season-ending knee injury and a 28-6 loss to the Rams.
Only 19% of fans expected the Giants to finish the next four-game stretch with a winning record. The poll was conducted when Dart was thought to miss only a month; the opponents are the Titans, Cardinals, Commanders and Saints, whose combined record was 2-6 as of Week 3.
FanDuel odds also shifted: New York opened the week as a 6.5-point home favorite against Tennessee, then became a 2.5-point favorite after injuries to Dart and edge defender Brian Burns, the article reported. Dart was expected to make a full recovery and could return to football activities in as little as four months.
