Hockey insider Elliotte Friedman says Detroit center Dylan Larkin may be willing to join more than the three teams previously reported as acceptable trade destinations, estimating the list at around eight. No deal has been completed as the 2026-27 season approaches.
Friedman said the previously reported trio was Vegas, Minnesota and Florida. He named Colorado and Washington as other possibilities and said he suspected Dallas and Tampa were also on the list. He believes Larkin’s options are in the U.S., but did not identify a complete list.
Larkin requested a trade from Detroit in June, and Minnesota has been most heavily linked to him. Wild reporter Michael Russo said earlier this month that Larkin wanted to be in Minnesota. Larkin and Detroit interim GM Shawn Horcoff have not confirmed whether a destination list exists; Horcoff said he was keeping the trade discussions private.
