Georgia beat Oklahoma 41-13, turning four Sooners turnovers into 17 points. Oklahoma led in time of possession, first downs and passing yards, but John Mateer lost two of his three fumbles and threw an interception; the Sooners committed four turnovers.
Mateer’s fumble at the Georgia 2-yard line became a pivotal play: Chris Cole returned it for a touchdown. Georgia gained 306 yards to Oklahoma’s 296; the Sooners had more possession (35:27 to 24:33), first downs (16-12) and passing yards (231-177).
Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton completed 14 of 25 passes for 171 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Talyn Taylor led Bulldogs receivers with 110 yards and a touchdown; Dwight Phillips ran for 82 yards, including a 54-yard score, and Chaincey Bowens added two rushing touchdowns. Georgia next faces Vanderbilt.
