Florida State beat Central Arkansas 34-7 to reach 2-2 (0-1 ACC), but coach Mike Norvell said FSU must play cleaner after 10 penalties for 115 yards before hosting Virginia. The Bears held the ball nearly 40 minutes but scored just seven points.
FSU scored on six of its first seven drives, led 24-0 in the second quarter and finished with 417 yards. Quarterback Ashton Daniels completed 12 of 18 passes for 224 yards, two touchdowns and an interception; Ousmane Kromah rushed for 86 yards and two scores, while Jayvan Boggs caught six passes for 122 yards and a touchdown.
Central Arkansas’s lone scoring drive covered 75 yards and included a roughing-the-punter penalty; Jalen Washington finished it with a 2-yard run. Seven of the Bears’ first downs came via penalties.
