Florida beat No. 4 Ole Miss 52-28 at home, giving first-year coach Jon Sumrall his first signature win and moving the Gators to 4-0 for the first time since 2019. Florida ran for 294 yards, led by Jadan Baugh’s 142 yards and three touchdowns.
Sophomore Duke Clark added 126 rushing yards and a touchdown on 12 carries, while quarterback Aaron Philo threw for 196 yards and a score. Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss fumbled early in the fourth quarter, setting up a Florida touchdown, then threw an interception on the Rebels’ final possession.
Ole Miss was without star running back Kewan Lacy, who was sidelined with a shoulder injury, and had beaten LSU the previous week. Florida has allowed 799 yards over its past two games and been penalized 24 times in that span. The Gators visit No. 19 Missouri next week.
