Linebacker Luke Mergott blocked a 53-yard field-goal attempt in the first quarter. Mahan threw two consecutive 29-yard touchdown passes in the second, and Eget hit Jared Richardson for a 28-yard score with 26 seconds left in the half, making it 38-7. Mahan later connected with Brody Keefe for a 27-yard touchdown.
Freshman running backs Jayvian Tanelus and C.J. Givers scored on consecutive fourth-quarter possessions, with runs of four and 28 yards, respectively. Givers’ touchdown set the final score.
