Michigan fell to 3-1 after losing 20-19 to Iowa on Saturday. The Wolverines committed eight penalties for 75 yards, while Bryce Underwood threw for 278 yards and two touchdowns but also had a red-zone interception.
JJ Buchanan caught five passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns; his 49-yard score briefly put Michigan ahead 19-14. Jordan Marshall led Michigan with 59 rushing yards, followed by Savion Hiter with 53 and Underwood with 36.
Michigan led 10-7 at halftime but allowed a 99-yard kickoff return in the first half.
