Tony Ferguson stopped Mahmood Sebie in round two in Miami to retain the Misfits middleweight title. Sebie replaced Kenzo Biyong, who withdrew days before the bout; Ferguson dropped Sebie in round one, then rallied after being hurt in round two.
The referee intervened after Ferguson pinned Sebie in a corner and landed a barrage of punches. Afterward, Ferguson said he was still dazed and struggling after his mother's death a couple of months earlier, but said his performance would not be repeated if he fights Austin McBroom. McBroom entered the ring to set up a title fight between them.
