Vic Fangio said Jonathan Greenard has a better chance to play against the Chicago Bears in Week 3 than in the season’s first two games, but the edge rusher is not ready for a full workload after a pectoral injury and limited conditioning.
The pectoral injury kept Greenard out of training camp and the Eagles’ first two games. Fangio said it also limited Greenard’s conditioning for the first four to seven weeks.
Greenard had 12 sacks in 2024 and 12.5 in 2023 with Minnesota, but recorded three sacks in 12 games last season while dealing with a shoulder injury. Philadelphia gave up two third-round picks for him and signed him to a four-year, $100 million extension.
