Tennessee QB Faizon Brandon was helped off against Texas in the second quarter after an apparent upper-body injury on a run; he was holding his shoulder or collarbone area. George MacIntyre replaced him, but Brandon later warmed up on the sideline and re-entered.
Before leaving, Brandon had completed 3 of 4 passes for 9 yards and had four carries for negative yardage, with a sack by Colin Simmons contributing.
Tennessee starting left guard Wendell Moe also exited early with an injury.
