Emerald Wealth Partners’ Q2 2026 letter said H World Group had more than 13,000 hotels and could reach about 20,000 by the end of the decade, with a longer-term opportunity to exceed 30,000 as China’s branded lodging market consolidates.
The strategy described H World as a China-based operator with brands ranging from economy to upscale. It said recurring franchise and management fees underpin an increasingly asset-light model, with virtually all projected hotel growth coming from managed and franchised properties as the company reduces its exposure to leased and owned hotels.
H World shares closed at $42.78 on September 23, 2026. The article reported gains of 10.33% over the prior month and 9.27% over 52 weeks, and a market capitalization of $13.06 billion.
