Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders was named the NFLPA’s Week 3 Community MVP after visiting two East Cleveland schools Sept. 22. Some 500 students received backpacks filled with supplies, and the NFLPA announced a $10,000 donation to his Legendary Impact Foundation.
Sanders visited Kirk Middle School and Caledonia Elementary School during Attendance Awareness Month, with the event focused on regular attendance and student engagement. He distributed backpacks and signed autographs; Pizza Hut and Pammy’s Ice Cream joined a party for the students. Sanders said he chose East Cleveland to support a neighborhood often overlooked by similar outreach efforts.
The recognition makes Sanders eligible for the NFLPA’s Alan Page Community Award, which recognizes players’ off-field work and provides further support for charitable efforts. Sanders has not appeared in Cleveland’s first two regular-season games of 2026 and is listed behind Deshaun Watson, who started both.
